Top Tips for athletes on how to be motivated

  1. Track your step count every day.
  2. Set a target and know what you must do additional to your normal day to increase your step count e.g. replace a short green bus journey with a walk – often walking is quicker than waiting at the bus stop!
  3. Find somewhere nice to go for a jog/run e.g. waterfront, country park.
  4. Set a target of jogging/running for a set period of time – start short 10mins and increase step by step. If you can’t run continuously, walk intermittently for short spells.
  5. Go with a friend!
  6. Take photos and share them on Move-A-Thon Padlet!
