Thanks to the herculean efforts of Kellett School Parents' Committee, an army of volunteers and the generosity of our community, the Fair raised HK$800k for K², to supercharge our student’s learning.
As a result, Kellett School has three exciting projects underway for 2024-25; Lin Marsh as a musician-in-residence, Becky Gilmor of Make & Do as an artist-in-residence and a vegetable patch on the SkyPitch. Thank you to the Kellett community for making these possible!
K² and the Kellett Science Department present an evening with award winning wildlife photographer Doug Allan. In this exciting talk, Doug Allan talks about marine biology, diving and filming some of the world’s most charismatic animals, and how climate change is affecting the planet. With over 40 years' first-hand experience of the Poles, he has witnessed first-hand the effects of the changing sea ice on the populations of animals north and south. Learn more here.
Kellett School has been incredibly fortunate to have not one but two artists-in-residence Eleanor McColl & Elena Klimova in 2022-23, as we seek to refresh the artwork around our campus’, particularly in Kowloon Bay in the run up to the building’s 10th anniversary. Find out more on Eleanor & Elena.
Thanks to parental donations to curriculum enhancement fund K² our students have witnessed both artists at work on campus, participated in workshops and contributed to exciting large scale art installations.
The artworks are placed at the entrance to Prep and Senior and in the British Room!
A new coral system in the Senior School continues to mature, with the biodiversity developing and new microscopic organisms establishing themselves. The first corals, fish and invertebrates have been added to the tank, adding to six existing species of coral, three species of fish, and a number of snails, crabs and shrimp. Via an ECA students are focussing on honing their husbandry (water chemistry and tank maintenance) to ensure ideal conditions for the addition of more challenging corals.
KLB Prep Reception Play Area
