Outreach, launched in 2022, provides Saturday lessons for 100 children aged 6 to 14 years old. The children, referred by NGOs, are from communities in Hong Kong, mostly from asylum and refugee families who wouldn’t otherwise have access to a Kellett education.

Outreach offers lessons in core subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science, complimented by arts and sporting activities. All sessions are delivered by Kellett School staff and sports coaches with the support of student volunteers. The children attending are provided with free transportation, meals, and resources to ensure they can fully engage in the lessons and access their potential.

Outreach creates a stepping-stone for some children to join the AMD Fund Bursary programme and take a place at Kellett School full-time.

Outreach is funded entirely by donations and we have yet to cover the costs for the academic year 2023-24. Each student place costs HK$25,000 per year. If you can help please donate here or contact Development Office.

Give the Gift of Education

At Kellett, we place great importance on role modelling empathy and compassion to our students. Each weekend our staff, with help from volunteer students, bring joy to children living below the poverty line at Outreach. Watch the video to find out how.

Find out why Outreach

"There are a lot of things the most vulnerable kids in our society need– food, shelter, clothing, medical services. But the one most likely to affect their lives is access to education. Education has not only the power to change a child live today but also to change his future."

Quote from Lourdes, parent

Outreach helps my family by providing free knowledge and resources for my child, eliminating the need for us to pay for it. This is especially beneficial for families like ours who are financially constrained and have no means of livelihood.”
