To honour Ann Mc Donald OBE’s (Kellett School Principal 1997-2019) contribution to the School the AMD Fund was established.

Offering opportunity is a central commitment at Kellett School and one that goes beyond the school’s student body.

Kellett School is fortunate to be a privileged and well-resourced community who can extend a welcome to those who ordinarily would not be able to access a Kellett education. Sharing with others is enriching for the whole Kellett School community, both in the act of giving but also in the different perspectives that it exposes students to.

Since 2019 we have been offering entrance bursaries to children living below the poverty line in Hong Kong. We currently have nine students studying at Kellett on a bursary and we aim to offer two places per year.

In 2022 in an effort to assist more disadvantaged children in Hong Kong we established Outreach, which provides academic and enrichment sessions for disadvantaged children in Hong Kong at the Kellett School campus in Kowloon Bay.

Please help us open up untold opportunities and pathways for children by donating in support of bursaries and Outreach sessions for disadvantaged children in Hong Kong.

Help us reach our goal!

We want to provide two bursary places each year. To do this, we are trying to raise HK$26m by Kellett School’s 50th anniversary in 2026. Beyond that, we hope to build an endowment fund to make bursaries to Kellett School sustainable.

Please help us open up untold opportunities and pathways for children through the gift of a Kellett School education by making a donation.

Quote from the parent of a Kellett Bursary student

"My family and I are always grateful for what Kellett has done for our children. There's no doubt that it is having a positive and powerful impact on our children's learning journey. We hope that more students can benefit from a Kellett Bursary. As Nelson Mandela said, 'Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"

Quote from Silvia Pezzini, parent and Chair of the Kellett School Board of Governors

"I donate to the AMD Fund because as Dr Seuss says, “the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go” and every kid has a right to access these infinite possibilities."

Quote from Lourdes Villar Garcia, parent

"Kellett’s bursary programme does exactly that, it gives kids that otherwise would have not access to publicly funded quality education in Hong Kong (due to language, financial and social barriers), the possibility of a bright future. But by donating to Kellett’s AMF, you are doing much more than that. You are also inspiring your kids and the rest of the Kellett community about the importance of community service, you are inspiring them to become agents of positive change through social engagement. And those are skills our leaders of tomorrow will need."

Members of the Kellett Foundation Board explain why they believe bursaries are so important.
