To honour Ann Mc Donald OBE’s (Kellett School Principal 1997-2019) contribution to the School the AMD Fund was established for bursaries.

Offering opportunity is a central commitment at Kellett School and one that goes beyond the school’s student body. Kellett School is fortunate to be a privileged and well-resourced community who can extend a welcome to those who ordinarily would not be able to access a Kellett education. Sharing with others is enriching for the whole Kellett School community, both in the act of giving but also in the different perspectives that it exposes students to.

We currently have seven students studying at Kellett on a bursary and we aim to offer two places per year.

Please help us open up untold opportunities and pathways for children through the gift of a Kellett School education by making a donation.

Help us reach our goal!

We want to provide two bursary places each year. To do this, we are trying to raise HK$26m by Kellett School’s 50th anniversary in 2026. Beyond that, we hope to build an endowment fund to make bursaries to Kellett School sustainable.

Please help us open up untold opportunities and pathways for children through the gift of a Kellett School education by making a donation.

Take a Seat

Offering Opportunity
To give someone the gift of a Kellett Education, we are offering the opportunity to name a seat in Kellett’s The David Kidd Theatre. By naming a seat you will be supporting the
Ann Mc Donald Fund for Bursaries

Kellett Giving Day

Thank you for making our first Kellett Giving Day such a success. Our worldwide community of students, parents, staff and Old Kellettonians came together to raise over HK$2 million, enough to put a child on a full Kellett bursary from Y5 - Y13, which is phenomenal.

THANK YOU!

Bursaries enable children, who wouldn’t otherwise have access to a Kellett education, an opportunity to get a Kellett start in life. There is no greater gift than education, and arguably no better education than a Kellett one!

Kellett Charity Ball

Kellett School Parents' Committee, Kellett Charity Ball Committees, Kellett School Advancement Team, Finance Team, and The Mira Hotel for their generous sponsorship of the venue and catering. Parents, staff and 110 companies generously donated their time and donated to the auction & raffle items for the ball. Last but not least, Senior School students gave their time to help out at the evening event.

This event would not have been possible with out your involvement! Click the video for highlights from the Charity Ball!

Quote from the parent of a Kellett Bursary student

"My family and I are always grateful for what Kellett has done for our children. There's no doubt that it is having a positive and powerful impact on our children's learning journey. We hope that more students can benefit from a Kellett Bursary. As Nelson Mandela said, 'Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"

Quote from Silvia Pezzini, parent and Chair of the Kellett School Board of Governors

"I donate to the AMD Fund because as Dr Seuss says, “the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go” and every kid has a right to access these infinite possibilities."

Quote from Lourdes Villar Garcia, parent

"Kellett’s bursary programme does exactly that, it gives kids that otherwise would have not access to publicly funded quality education in Hong Kong (due to language, financial and social barriers), the possibility of a bright future. But by donating to Kellett’s AMF, you are doing much more than that. You are also inspiring your kids and the rest of the Kellett community about the importance of community service, you are inspiring them to become agents of positive change through social engagement. And those are skills our leaders of tomorrow will need."

Members of the Kellett Foundation Board explain why they believe bursaries are so important.
