AMD Fund

A huge thank you to everyone who generously supported the AMD Fund for bursaries and our curriculum enhancement fund K2 in 2022-23. Your donations to the AMD Fund are life-changing for the individual recipients and their families, and contributions to K2 have made a lasting impact on our students.

This year we received donations from more families and Old Kellettonians than ever before. In total we have received over 650 gifts. Our very first Giving Day for the AMD Fund showed just how generous our community is with 427 donations received, and the first Ball in many years was sold out within minutes!

Thank you on behalf of the entire Kellett community.

REPORT OF GIVING                                         DONOR LIST

AMD Fund

We continue our efforts to raise HK$26m by Kellett's 50th anniversary in 2026, to provide two bursary places for children who wouldn't otherwise have access to a Kellett education. During 2022-23 our community raised just under HK$5.3m for bursaries. Thanks to your kind contributions we now have seven students attending Kellett on a bursary, and all are thriving.

We still have a way to go to $26m so please continue to help us provide life-changing bursary places at Kellett by donating below or consider 'Taking a Seat' in the David Kidd Theatre!

Take a seat!

We are delighted to have named 11 more seats in the David Kidd Theatre in the past year in aid of the AMD Fund. To date, 44 seats has been taken. If you would like to 'Take a Seat' and give the gift of education please find details  here

Kellett Outreach

In the year 2022-23 we were finally able to launch Kellett Outreach, our Saturday lessons for children who wouldn't otherwise have access to a Kellett education. The year saw over 100 children come to the KLB Campus for academic lessons led by Kellett staff, with volunteer students assisting, followed by afternoon activites ranging from swimming lessons to cricket and much more. As well as fun and engaging lessons, Outreach provides important respite for families, along with breakfast, lunch and transport. Watch the video below to hear from some of the children who attend Kellett Outreach, as well as a Kellett student on what he gets out of volunteering.

We, and the children who attend, really want this to continue next year. Please consider helping us keep Kellett Outreach running by making a donation. Each student place costs approximately HK25k per year.

Please contact us development@kellettschool.com if you can help.

K2

K2 has supported a number of fantastic projects and speakers over the past year. Thank you to our valued donors that have made these enhancements to the curriculum possible and help us instill a love of learning in our students. Both our students and staff really appreciate it.

Projects delivered 2022-23;
Two artists-in-residence Eleanor McColl & Elena Klimova held workshops and helped refresh the artwork around our campus
Planters have been installed to create a rooftop allotment at PFL, which it is hoped in time will generate produce that can be sold to staff and parents.
Fish tanks have been installed, as part of a coral conservation project which seeks to grow coral to be planted into Hong Kong's shorelines.
new Reception play area provides an indoor garden area for our youngest children to learn through play at KLB Prep.

Science Show

This year, we finally saw the return of our annual Science Show, hosted by the UK's Royal Institution and funded by K2. In a hybrid show, Matt Parker zoomed in from London, while teachers and students took to the stage to complete a host of exciting experiments to uncover "The Hidden World of Maths". Click the video for highlights from the show!

A Life Behind the Lens

This Autumn K2 is supporting a visit from Douglas Allan, a Scottish wildlife cameraman and photographer best known for his work in polar regions and underwater. Doug will entrall our Prep students with stories of his  adventures filming the likes of penguins, polar bears and whales. With our Senior students he will share the successes and setbacks that spanned his 35 years of natural history film-making and photogrpahy workshops. There will be an evening talk held at the Kowloon Bay Campus on 12 Dec for parents, students and HK OKs to attend. Please sign up from the link here.
